In Ray Force, humanity faces extinction after the supercomputer Con-Human turns against its creators. Players take control of the RVA-818 X-LAY starfighter to fight through waves of corrupt clones and destroy Con-Human's mobile fortress. The game combines classic vertical scrolling action with a unique lock-on missile system that targets enemies on multiple planes. Power-ups increase the primary weapon's strength, adding variety to the combat.

To play, move the starfighter horizontally to dodge enemy fire and position yourself. Use the primary laser to shoot enemies directly ahead. The secondary lock-on laser launcher can target up to eight enemies at once. Move the targeting reticle over enemies on a lower plane to lock on, then fire to unleash a barrage.
